In apartments, there will be an elevator in the front of the building. This elevator is intended to take the passenger to the desired floor. Most of the apartments located in this site will have 1 unit per floor due to the size of the floor plan. Each elevator will have a required call box which will of course connect to the elevator company. Each floor will have a button, but a few floors may require a key card to access. This is for security more than anything else. You wouldn’t want a homeless person sleeping on the floor of the laundry room, would you?
All elevators will support for visually impaired tenants, and visitors. When one selects a floor, they will hear the floor number as the door opens. This will let them know they are on the correct floor. In addition, all buttons will have braille dots next to the floor button to help guide the person to the correct floor.
