Each of the 6 employees will receive a 3B/2b/1l apartment for $1,000/month. The space will also have a 6 car garage which they will have parking spaces for them. This means each employee will have 1 parking space that they can use. FSP Realty will pay electricity, 1GBPS Internet connection, OTA television, and Water. The employee will be responsible for any premium television services they wish to have, and telephone. The employee will provide me with an SSID and passphrase for their Wifi network. Each communications closet will have a network server for connectivity. The employee will be responsible for any other networking resources they will wish to have.
So, why offer a residence? The reason is simple, and that is one less thing the employee has to worry about it. If the employee has to worry about a place to live, then they aren’t as effective. And while most employers do not provide housing for their employees, I will feel I can build a 7+2 story building for the hosting of the employee. This makes their life easier, and if they should have to move out of their current residence, they can move to the employee housing. If they own the residence, they can choose to move into the employee housing, and charge a tenant with their current residence. This will allow the employee to possibly have a better place to live, since every unit will allow for most utilities.
Since shelter is a bare essential, it is only apparent that this will be a major concern for any employee, especially if housing prices are so expensive. By providing for a residence of a 3B apartment, they will be able to host their family in the apartment, and allow them to have most of the utilities included. The rent is affordable – even for someone only earning $15/hour. If they live by themselves, they can use the other two bedrooms for whatever they wish to use it for. They will not be allowed to sub-let.
There are two other businesses under my ownership. I will not be able to provide employee housing for these employees. Simply put, a $10,000,000 will only go so far. The realty company is the company that I feel will generate the most income, and therefore should cater to the importance of having reliable, and efficient employees. I do value the other employees, but again – $10,000,000 only goes so far.
