There will be attempts to acquire 4 receptionists. Each one will have their own desk, and will be responsible for taking telephone calls, prepare any mailings, and handle tenants that comes into the office. With that in mind, they will need to be at the office in order to perform their duties. A receptionist will be given $15/hour as a starting pay, and will be evaluated every 6 months for an increase. The receptionist is also required to come into the office at 7:30AM, and leave at 4:30PM. Two will take their lunch 12Pm-1PM, and the other 2 will take their lunch at 1PM-2PM. The lunch break is not paid lunch, so this is why they are at the office for 9 hours. 8 hours for their working day + 1 hour for lunch.
Each receptionist will be provided with a AiO (All in One) PC that would remain on the desk. This computer will have an AMD CPU, 16GB of memory, and a 256GB SSD for storage. The screen will be at least 24″, and 16:9 aspect ratio. For security, there will be a wired keyboard with a fingerprint reader. The receptionist is required to keep the system locked when not in use. The fingerprint reader will just make it much easier to log in to the system. Every computer will have an “Admin” profile which will be locked to prevent installing additional software. Again, the fingerprint reader will authenticate the user and allowed access into the system. As for the operating system, Zorin OS will be chosen since it would have a smaller learning curve for those with Windows PCs. There are a few reasons that Zorin OS will be chosen to protect the interest of the realty company.
There is a phone on each desk. This phone will be a Clearly IP CIP280v2 IP Phone. This phone will use POE (Power Over Ethernet) to have an electrical current sufficient enough for the phone to operate as expected. There is a network pass-through that will allow the computer to plug into the pass-through which will reduce the number of cables that would have to plug into the wall. The phone will have a touchscreen as well as a hardware number pad. The receptionist will dial on the keypad, and use the touchscreen for functions like Hold, or Transfer. The phone is intended to take incoming phone calls, and it will be against the policy to use the desk phone for personal calls. I would imagine that every receptionist will have their own cellular phone for use. When working, the personal phone should not be ringing at all, and therefore silence should be turned on.
