Every building will have a snow melt system that would melt snow and ice from the sidewalks, and driveways of the property. This is intended to reduce the work load of the maintenance person with apartments, and allow for those renting houses to not have to worry about shoveling. The snow melt system will just need a constant internet connection to get the weather updates, and use that information to heat the ground to 54°F (12°C).
Those living in houses will be required to shovel any snow if the snow melt system does not work. In addition, any apartment tenant that sees that their snow and ice hadn’t melted on the property they are renting should contact maintenance immediately.
