Payment options will be based on what’s best for you. All payment options are designed to make it as easy as possible for you. Payments can be made in person at the office, or by mail. You are responsible for making sure the rent is delivered by the 5th of the month. If the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday, then by the end of the next business day. There will be a number of options as listed below:
- Cash in Office
- Cashier’s Check
- Check
- Postal Money Order
- RentPayment withdrawal
Cash in Office
You can come to the office during normal business hours to pay with cash. You must pay to an employee of the realty, and you would provided with a rent receipt. If you choose to pay with cash, you would want to bring the largest bills possible. $100 notes are preferred over ten $10 notes. This will also make it easier to count, and therefore less likely to have any errors. Again, you are required to pay the money to an employee. This option is good if you do not have a bank account
Cashier’s Check
You can have a cashier’s check drawn from a bank and sent to the office. If the bank provides you with the cashier’s check, you can also take the check to the office. This option is good if you want to assure that your rent is paid since the cashier’s check is guaranteed by the issuing bank.
Check
A check can be written and either mailed or dropped off. Keep in mind, if the check is returned NSF, you will be charged $50 for the NSF charges as imposed by the bank. Therefore if you do not trust yourself to pay the rent with a check, you should use another option.
Postal Money Order
You can go to any post office for a postal money order. No other money orders will be accepted. If another money order is received, it will be returned to you, and you would be responsible for dealing with that money order. This will be made clear right from the start as well as in the site for payment options accepted.
RentPayment Withdrawal
You can acquire a RentPayment account, and if you need help with this, you can go to the rental office for assistance. Once you create an account, you can then set up automatic payments. The payment can draw on a checking account, or a debit/credit card. If using a card to pay the rent, you might be charged a 5% charge for making a card payment. It will be best to use your checking account for payments. Automatic payments are done on the same day or the next business day every month. The transaction will process against your account in the next business day.
