In open floor plans, this will be a great room. In closed floor plans, this will be a living room. The role and purpose is still the same. This room is designed to provide a living and communal space for the tenant(s), guests, and family. There will be one wall for where the TV could be located at. This wall will have 1 coaxial jack, and 5 RJ45 jacks. One might question why so many RJ45 jacks, but let’s look at a sample of what a person can have:
- Smart TV
- Tablo or DVR
- Blu-Ray Player
- Microsoft Xbox
- Sony Playstation
Other options are possible too, but this could be a scenario where one might be able to relate too. Each of the other walls will have 3 RJ45 jacks for other networked items. This could include an ATA, NAS, or other devices.
